Is Crytek In Trouble?

All that follows are rumours not officially confirmed by fact:

Crytek, the developer behind Crysis and Xbox One launch game Ryse, is having trouble paying employees, and the company has been bleeding staff since March, according to people who work there.

From an unofficial source unnamed talking to Kotaku, the developer has faced rising problems involving lack of funds, lack of people and lack of a healthy workplace. Another unconfirmed whistleblower has stated that possibly up to 100 people have left due to unpaid wages.

Again, this is all unconfirmed rumours, but given the poor sales of Ryse, the lack of interest in F2P shooter Warface and  the recent resignation of Homefront: The Revolution’s game director Hasit Zala from Crytek UK, there may be a lot of trouble brewing afoot over at Crytek.
