The Evil Within Downloadable Content And Season Pass Revealed

Bethesda and Tango Gameworks have announced that The Evil Within will be receiving additional downloadable content following the release of the game this coming October. There will be three content packs available for the game post-launch and as per usual with the industry there will also be a season pass available.

The first of the downloadable content will allow players to step into the shoes of The Keeper, the enemy who has appeared in promotional material with an axe and a metallic box on his head. Playing as The Keeper will be relegated to a collection of mission-based maps, similar to a typical challenge mode.

The second and third pieces of downloadable content will put players into the shoes of Julie Kidman, the partner of main character Sebastian from the game. She arrives with Joseph Oda and Sebastian to Beacon Mental Hospital to find that area deserted and dilapidated.

Julia

Julia’s campaign will presumably fill in any gaps that might have been left over from the main campaign, which has been purported to be anywhere between 15 and 20 hours long. Her campaign will feature new enemies and new areas, to boot.

The Season Pass has been priced at $20.00US, with local pricing details yet to be confirmed. But if tradition dictates, the Season Pass should not cost more than $25-$30AU when it arrives here.

The Evil Within will be launching on Tuesday October 14th, 2014 in North America, with an Australian release date two days later on Thursday October 16th. It will be releasing on PC, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
