More details are emerging of the E3 show floor about the awesome new God of War game shown during Sony’s E3 press conference.

Whilst Kratos is of course the central playable character, you will be able to issue ‘commands’ to his son using the one button, enabling him to aid in combat, traversal and puzzle solving. Both characters are going to have some sort of progression system attached to them, with your son ‘learning’ as the game progresses.

On top of these RPG elements, those that played the extended demo uncovered crafting resources, obviously suggesting some sort of crafting system within the game.

Impressively the entire game will be one uninterrupted shot with no load screens, cinematics or anything that would ‘cut’ the shot. Sounds pretty amazing right?

Have no idea what I’m talking about? Watch the trailer below, or just watch it again, why not.

So friggin excited for this. So happy they’ve taken inspiration from the likes of the Last of Us and Tomb Raider reboot (presumably) in regards to story telling, character development and interactions outside of cut scenes. If it had just been the same old God of War, it still would have done fine because they are solid games, but its great to see developers try something new and mix it up, similar with Guerrilla Games with Horizon 😀
