We saw it last year with the stampede towards Breath of the Wild at E3, but the added 15,000 members of the public have taken it to a whole new level.
At E3 2017, Super Mario Odyssey had its spectacular trailer revealed just a few hours before the show floor opened and it was without doubt the hottest title there. I was able to witness the absolute chaos that broke out each time the doors opened and thankfully Polygon was able to capture it on video.
The good news is that it was definitely worth it with two ten minute demos (of completely different levels) being on show.
