We’re just hours away from the PlayStation Meeting which is taking place at 5am AEST on Thursday, the 8th of September.
We asked you which pending announcement you were most looking forward to and obviously the PlayStation 4 won quite overwhelmingly. What surprised me most, was the percentage of people that are excited by the possible announcement of a new PlayStation Portable.
Whilst it’s possible that we’ll see this revealed in the near future, it’s probably unlikely that they’d reveal this away from the Japanese Press. A lot of people have completely written off another PlayStation Portable, but I think that there’s room for mild success with another handheld, that is sold in the same vein as the PS4. The Vita released in a weird spot sometime between the PS3 and PS4, and it definitely suffered for it.
