Mario Kart 8 Is Coming To PS4/Vita [April Fools]

Sony have announced overnight that they have partnered with Nintendo in order to bring Mario Kart 8 to Playstation platforms. It is believed that the game will still release on Wii U and that it is simply for Nintendo test the waters and see how much money they can make by releasing on other platforms.

Reggie Fils-Aime of Nintendo stated the following “We have been good friends with Sony for many years. We believe that they have done an extremely good job with the Playstation 4, which has been solidly backed up by gamers worldwide. We want to release one of our premier titles on the console to see how much software we can sell to a wider audience. This doesn’t meant that Nintendo are going multi platform, it simply means that we are exploring other opportunities”

Part of the announcement is that exclusively on Playstation consoles, Mario Kart 8 would also incorporate some of Sony’s characters in order to make the game an experience that translates to Playstation fans.

Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida stated “We’re extremely glad to see that Nintendo are willing to work with us. We have a lot of respect for Nintendo and we are glad to see Mario finally grace our console. My kids have grown up playing Mario so I am so happy that I now get to see how they enjoy playing on the Playstation 4”
