Star Wars 1313 Concept Art Unveiled

Star Wars 1313 is just one of many games that will never see the light of day. After an impressive showing at E3 2012, Star Wars 1313 was being held up as one of the first showcases of what the next generation of consoles could do. Unfortunately after the acquisition of Lucasfilm by Disney, Lucasarts was no more taking Star Wars 1313 with it. Since it’s cancellation multiple reports have revealed that 1313 was to follow the famous Star Wars bounty hunter, the one and only Boba Fett. If you could judge a book by it’s cover, Star Wars 1313 was going to be something special.

Coruscant

Now fast forward to 2014 and some concept art from Bruno Werneck, a talented artist that has credits in Mass Effect 2, Titanfall, and even done some work for the Movie Star Trek: Into Darkness; has been revealed on Filmpaint.com with that dates back to 2009. You can check out the full gallery there, and I’ll link Werneck’s portfolio here if you wish to see his other work. My favourite piece of the bunch is the depiction of a very Blade Runner-esque take on the Coruscant Underground, but all of them show interesting takes on well known Star Wars environments. I highly encourage you check out the gallery.

If you’re quick on the trigger, you might be able to catch the Star Wars Steam Sale that’s going on right now. The bundle is going for $33 and it includes a wide range of games from Republic commando to Knights of the Old republic.
