Nintendo Planning New Metroid Games

While Metroid was a no-show during Nintendo’s E3 showings, it hasn’t stopped the company from confirming to Kotaku that the company is currently planning not one, but two entries to the Metroid series.

Nintendo’s Shinya Takahashi confirmed that his team would hope to talk about both new titles in “the near future.”

“So it has been a while since we released the last one and we’re having discussions internally about what we can do next,” he said. “So at this point we have two different types of Metroid games.
