Wii Games Coming To The Wii U eShop

Starting as of today, players will be able to download Wii games directly to the WiiU Home Menu via the Nintendo eShop. Previously, if you wanted Wii games, you would have to access the Wii mode on the WiiU but not anymore! You will also be able to use the Wii U gamepad to control many games that were compatible with the Wii Classic Controller.

he first game that will be available and released today is Super Mario Galaxy 2. Those coming later this month include Donkey Kong Country Returns (23rd January) and Metroid Prime Trilogy (30th January).

These three will be on sale for a special price of $13AU (NZ$17.00) during their first week of availability and will be available for $26AU (NZ$34.00) after the first week. Other titles set for future release are Kirby’s Adventure Wii, Pandora’s Tower, Punch Out and Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Skies, a title not previously released in Australia and New Zealand.
