Dying Light Physical Launch Dates Clarified

Having been delayed recently in the past week, fans of Dying Light have been keen to know when they’ll be able to get their hands on a physical copy. Now, developer Techland have broken their silence via the games official Facebook page on the delay and have specific what they’ll be doing to hopefully make up for it.

The game will release worldwide on PC digitally on January 27th. In the Americas, the game will release digitally and physically on all platforms on the 27th.

In the rest of the world – that’s Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia – Dying Light will be released digitally on January 28th for all platforms.

The physical copies of the game will be released in these same regions on February 27th, 2015. Yes, you read right, a whole month after the Americas.

To apologise for such a delay, Techland will be bundling two downloadable content packs with all pre-ordered copies of the game without any extra charge. They are the Cuisine & Cargo pack and the Ultimate Survivor Bundle.

Cuisine & Cargo includes two “hardcore” missions where players can investigate buildings sealed off in the very first days of teh outbreak – including the most famous restaurant in Harrran. The Ultimate Survival Bundle is seven unique in-game items.

Of course the new map and gameplay, The Bozak Horde, will presumably remain a paid piece of downloadable content – thought you might want to hold off on the purchasing or pre-purchasing of a season pass since 2/3 of it have just become free.
