The Second Assassin’s Creed Movie Trailer Has Us Cautiously Optimistic

20th Century Fox and Ubisoft have released the second trailer the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie, and it has us cautiously optimistic.

Starring Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch, who explores the memories of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th century Spain during the Spanish Inquisition. The trailer, although fairly similar to the first released back in May, gives us more details about the present day storyline, which looks set to have greater emphasis in the movie than the games.

And of course, it features more intense and incredible actions scenes of Assassin’s doing what they do best, parkour and killing Templars. Check out the latest trailer below!

The movie is set to fill in the hole in what is the first year in a long time not to feature a new entry to the Assassin’s Creed game series. However, Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection is coming in November, which is hopefully enough to tied AC fans over until the movie launches.

Set to release in Australia on January 1st 2017, could this be one of the first truly great movie video game adaptations? We can’t wait to find out.
