The Greens have today announced ‘Level Up WA’.

The initiative will provide the Australian video game industry with a small smart investment which could see Western Australia become a hub for Australian video games. The specifics involve $4 million dollars which will be put into an improve Australian Interactive Games Fun and allow smaller independent studios to flourish into successful studios.

“The massive success of mobile gaming, and the emerging technology of VR, present huge opportunities for the industry, and with just a few key measures, we could see a considerable amount of that work undertaken in Western Australia,” Greens Communications spokesperson and Senator for WA Scott Ludlam said today.
