Herd Of Pokemon GO Players Stampede Altona Pier To Catch Snorlax

Altona Beach has seen hundreds of Pokemon GO players over the weekend with rare Pokemon showing up all over the place. The biggest catch of them all, Snorlax showed up in the middle of the day of Saturday which caused hundreds of people to stampede the Altona Pier in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs.

I grew up in this area, and I’ve never seen more than 20-30 people on the pier at any given time, especially not in the middle of Winter. It’s insane to see that Pokemon GO still has this kind of pull. I’ve been expecting it to die down, but the impact of the game is apparent, when you look at vision like the below.
