Niantic’s CEO John Hanke has confirmed in an interview with TechCrunch that PvP is something that the team at Niantic talk about a lot.
“I have 10 year old son – he’s my Pokemon expert, we play together – he wants to battle his friends in Pokemon Go,” he said. “Battling is something we talk a lot about. It’s probably something that will make its way onto our roadmap.”
Hanke went on to say that trading would also be something that will hopefully makes it way to the app eventually.
It’s clear that both Trading and Battling will come to Pokemon GO eventually, but it doesn’t appear that it’ll be in the near future.
