Nintendo has revealed that they’re banning people who are playing the leaked version of Pokemon Sun and Moon. The game was leaked at the beginning of the month before many versions started appearing online.
Game community GBATemp is already full of people reporting that they are receiving error code 002-0102 when they attempt to get online within the game or by using the eShop.
Nintendo made the following statement to Kotaku: “As a result of a number of Nintendo 3DS users using unauthorized versions of several games, and connecting to the official game servers in violation of our terms of service, these users’ Nintendo 3DS systems that stored the unauthorized game code have been banned from Nintendo’s online network effective immediately.”
The lesson here is to not play pirated games, seriously.
