The Final List Of Everything New In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Nintendo Australia has finalised that Mario Kart 8 will launch in Australia on April 28th for Nintendo Switch.

In the overview trailer, Nintendo confirms everything new, feature-wise that’ll be making it’s way to the Deluxe version of Mario Kart 8 on Nintendo Switch.

Here’s all the new features and inclusions in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch that we can see:

  • You’ll be able to play in tabletop mode using two Joy-Con controllers
  • You’ll be able to play up to four players on the TV
  • Two players can take part on the same Nintendo Switch for online action
  • 42 racers including new characters such as Inkling Girl & Inkling Boy from Splatoon, King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr
  • Three new vehicles which including two Splatoon inspired vehicles
  • You can carry two items at once
  • New items include Boo which allows you to steal items and the feather which allows you to jump higher
  • There’s 48 main courses including the DLC from the Wii U version, but no brand new tracks.
  • A brand new smart-streeting feature to help gamers stay on track
  • Battle mode has a new level Urchan Underpass and battle modes include Balloon Battle, Bob-omb Blast, Shine Thief, Coin Runners and Renegade Roundup.
  • New Amiibo support including the ability to use new Amiibo from the Super Mario series, Animal Crossing series and Splatoon series.
