GameXPlain has compared the load times of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Wii U. They’ve done a variety of tests on the digital versions as well as the physical versions.

When loading from the main menu of the respective consoles to the start screen of the game, the digital version of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch came in at 14 second whilst the physical version of the Wii U version came in at a whopping 33 seconds.

When loading into a race, the digital version of the Nintendo Switch also came in faster. It loaded up in 10 seconds whilst the Wii U version took almost double at 19 seconds.
