FIFA On Nintendo Switch Is Almost Certainly Not Going To Be FIFA 18

EA has today revealed the lineup of games that will be playing at EA Play and the most interesting takeaway from the list is the fact that the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA is not going to be called FIFA 18.

This is worrying for many reasons, firstly EA has been quite sketchy on their support for the Nintendo Switch so far, going back and forth between supporting the console and then saying that it’s more of a wait and see approach.

Secondly, EA has done this to us on Nintendo consoles before. Wii U owners know all too well that we were given Legacy versions of FIFA for years.

Honestly, FIFA on Nintendo Switch is one of my most anticipated titles. It’s my most played game and having it available on the go would be a game changer for many, many people. If it’s a watered down version or one that doesn’t include Ultimate Team, then it honestly may as well not be on the console.
