Blizzard have revealed that Overwatch now has over 15 million players globally through both digital and boxed sales. Thanks to this fact, Activision’s second quarter revenue came in at a record $1.57 billion. Further to this, Blizzard also revealed that over 500 million hours of Overwatch has been played.
Activision also revealed that Destiny: Rise Of The Iron pre-orders are tracking ahead of The Taken King pre-sales and Destiny 2 is still on track to release next year.
Activision games held a total of 491 million monthly active users with 10 billion hours spend playing their games.
Overwatch is very popular, and thanks to the Blizzard hit, Activision’s second quarter revenue came in at a record $1.57 billion.
In China, Overwatch is breaking records too. The game is now the fastest-selling PC game beating out Diablo 3.
