Call of Duty Goes Retro With Latest Zombie Mode

Fans of Call of Duty’s Zombie mode will be pleased to hear the traditional game mode will be returning with Infinite Warfare – but with an interesting twist.

While Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will take place in the distant future, its Zombies experience is a blast from the past. Activision announced that David Hasselhoff (Baywatch) and Paul Reubens (Pee-Wee Herman) will headline the new Zombies in Spaceland mode. Seth Green (Austin Powers), Ike Barinholtz (Suicide Squad, Neighbours), Jay Pharoah and Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live) will also make an appearance.

Reubens plays a washed-up horror actor who lures the player characters to an abandoned movie theatre, where they are all transported to an ‘80s space themed amusement park and forced to battle their way through endless waves of the undead. Hasselhoff plays an “enigmatic DJ” in the theme park, who helps the characters survive.

In a game franchise criticised for its lack of innovation in recent years, Zombies has always remained a unique and highly enjoyable experience. Zombies in Spaceland looks like it will continues with that tradition.
