Gameblog.fr are reporting that the PlayStation 4 NEO will be announced in New York on September 7th. It was originally thought that it would be announced at E3, and then at TGS. It makes much more sense for Sony to reveal the console in the USA, as the PS4 has been an overwhelming success in the US.
“While all indications pointed to an announcement of the PS4 NEO at the Tokyo Game Show in September, our sources tell us an announcement on 7 September in New York.”
It is still expected that the PlayStation 4 Neo will release in 2016. Andrew House has commented on the console’s existence, stating that it will be a mid-generationational upgrade that will not seperate user bases. It will simply provided an up-specced experience for those that want it.
