Metal Gear, the famous franchise feared dead after Hideo Kojima’s tumultuous departure from Konami, lives on (and not merely in the form of a pachinko machine)!

Revealed by IGN, Metal Gear Survive is a four-player stealth co-op action game due to be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2017.

Metal Gear Survive picks up right after the events of Ground Zeroes following surviving members of the Militaires Sans Frontières. Transported through a wormhole into an alternate universe, the story continues Metal Gear’s legacy of absolute absurdity by pitching the player against a force of “crystalline zombies” and seemingly at least one Metal Gear itself.

But will it be the same without Kojima?
