Xbox Users Will Have to Wait for New PS4 Exclusive Destiny Content

Information from the official PlayStation Store as well as Bungie’s official Destiny website has confirmed that PS4 exclusive Destiny content, including that in the upcoming Rise of Iron DLC will remain as such until “at least Fall 2017”, which is roughly a year from now. According to the PlayStation Store “the ultimate Destiny experience is only on PlayStation” and by purchasing the upcoming Destiny: The Collection, PS4 players will have access to co-op strike & questlines, 2 PvP multiplayer maps, 2 exotic weapons and legendary armour sets exclusive to PlayStation. Generally, PlayStation exclusive Destiny content is made available to Xbox players close to a year after its release and while this is true of the Rise of Iron content, if indeed Fall 2017 is accurate, it means that the exclusive content introduced in the previous expansion, The Taken King, will have its exclusive window extended significantly. Destiny: The Collection will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 20, 2016, and will feature Destiny, Expansion I: The Dark Below , Expansion II: House of Wolves, The Taken King, Rise of Iron and an additional level 40 character boost. The game is online only and requires a PSN Plus and/or Xbox Live Gold subscription as well as at least 60 GB of storage.
