At this morning’s PlayStation Meeting in NYC, the PlayStation 4 Slim – the standard PS4 from this point on – was finally announced alongside the PS4 Pro.
The slimmer model is exactly as pictured in the leaks over the past few weeks. It has an almost entirely matte finish with rounded corners. It will release in Australia on September 16th. A 500gb model will be available for $439 and a 1tb model will be available for $509.
The size has been reduced by 30% and it weighs between 16 and 25% less. Additionally, it uses between 28 and 34% less power then the current PlayStation 4.
