So, there’s a little feature hidden in PlayStation Update 4.50 that will delight all PS4 Pro owners. There’s a mode called Boost Mode that will essentially use the PS4 Pro power to improve the frame rates for all PS4 games regardless of whether they’ve been updated to support PS4 Pro.
Some users on NeoGAF who already have access to the beta have confirmed that it does in fact work wonders for many games.
It’s clear that the mode is still truly hit and miss currently with Sony claiming that it may not worked as expected for all games, but its a much appreciated improvement for older games.
PS4 software update 4.50 will also bring external HD support.
