Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Will Feature Bigger Areas, But No Nathan Drake

It’s now clear that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be different to any other Uncharted game that we’ve previously played.

Naughty Dog has revealed a heap of brand new information about the game over on the PlayStation Blog.

Firstly, it’s been confirmed that Nathan Drake will not play a part in this standalone title at all. He won’t be playable and he won’t make a cameo. Naughty Dog went on to say that they’d entertained the idea of having Nate show up, but everything felt superfluous because it was so perfectly tied up at the end of Uncharted 4.

The Lost Legacy is set six to 12 months after the events of Uncharted 4 and takes place in Southern India. It’s been confirmed that Chloe initiates the hunt and Nadine somehow gets involved.

The Lost Legacy will also contain the single biggest level in Uncharted history. It’s been promised that we’ll be able to explore at our own pace.

It will differ to traditional Uncharted games in the sense that Naughty Dog have learned a lot about balancing environmental puzzles with action moments. The standalone game will feature a number of different environments to provide a good variety in gameplay. We’ll also see stealth gameplay and the first silenced pistol.
