The Next Far Cry Game Could Be Set In The Wild West

It looks like the next Far Cry game is going to be set in the Wild West.

There’s a number of factors suggesting that Far Cry will be taking a more country-western setting. The Great Falls Tribune is reporting that a film crew is shooting a live-action trailer for an unaccounted game near a church in near the Montana prairie. Jeff Guillot, a producer has revealed that this is for a game to be released in September.

Yes, your mind probably goes straight to Red Dead Redemption however Jeff Guillot has previously worked with Ubisoft for Driver, Red Steel 2 and Rabbids, so it’s more than likely that this is for a Ubisoft game.

In early 2015, Ubisoft polled players about where they’d like to go for the next Far Cry game and one of the choices was in fact a Western style game set in the 19th century Americas.

In all honesty, it’d be very cool for Ubisoft to create a Far Cry game with a Western setting but it’d be equally bold for them take on Rockstar and Red Dead Redemption.

It’s more than likely that we’ll see the reveal of the next Far Cry game at E3 next month. Ubisoft is yet to reveal their press conference timings.
