Sony has taken to the PlayStation Blog to reveal more information about Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
As we initially thought, Insomniac has referred to Spider-Man: Miles Morales as a standalone adventure similar to that of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. It will have a new story, new set pieces, new villains and fresh quests in New York City.
The game is set roughly a year after the events of the first game. It’s now Winter time with New York covered in snow with a war breaking out between an energy corporation and a high-tech criminal army with Mile’s home being the centre of the battle.
In terms of how the game is taking advantage of the PS5, the game will have instant loading, ray-tracing, 3D audio and the DualSense controller will be taken advantage of. The characters have been 4D scanned and will be more realistic looking. The city has been updated to take advantage of the console as well.
They’ve definitely made sure that we know that Peter Parker is still alive and well (but won’t be the star of this game).
