After several rumors and statements that the franchise would “return to its roots”, a possible leak may have unveiled that the Call of Duty franchise is set to return to World War II this fall.
The leak (with special thanks to CharlieIntel, who also leaked Infinite Warfare last year and YouTuber “TheFamilyVideoGamers”) includes several pieces of possible marketing material with the Call of Duty: WWII logo, including several mockups for SteelBooks, which may be prototypes for pre-order bonuses or possible special editions. Not much else is known about this year’s installment aside from the fact that Sledgehammer Games is developing it, but with Activision usually announcing their installments in April of May, we might not be far away from finding out the truth!
