Microsoft has accidently offended people in the subject line of a Dead Rising 4 marketing email which was sent to members of their Xbox subscriber list.
The subject line reads ‘NNNNGGGHHHAAA’ whilst the body of the email shows Frank with two zombies.
Whilst you’d need to really read between the lines to find anything offensive, Microsoft definitely could have used a better combination of letters to define a zombie grunt.
Today we sent a DR4 email where a zombie roar was interpreted by many as a racial slur. We apologize and promise to do better next time.
