If your first thought in 2018 was that you want one of the biggest TVs available for under $2000, well you’re in luck. Aldi, who have been known for some serious deals in recent times are bringing out their biggest TV ever.
It’s going to be 75″ in size and retail for $1,699. When comparing to JB Hi Fi’s prices, the cheapest 75″ 4K TV that they have for sale is a Hisense which is over $2,800. You’ll need to wait until Saturday, the 13th of January to head in store to grab it. I’m honestly not sure how quickly it’ll sell out. I can’t imagine the market for a massive TV at Aldi would be huge, but then again, this is the cheapest that a 4K TV of this size has been in Australia (to my knowledge).
Aldi’s Bauhn brand isn’t going to be the best quality that you can get, but apparently it’s not that bad, especially for the price. You get a 1 year warranty and 60 day satisfaction guarantee too.

I have bought one it is not a Smart TV I am only using the TV as a Monitor for my HTPC setup.
Last weekend I viewed TV's at three major retail stores in Nowra NSW with the intension to buy a 75" TV.
Most of the TV sets on display gave good to excellent pictures with 4K but when the sets are tuned to free to air channels (Prime is the worst channel if you intend buying a 4K TV of any size make sure you view it on an SD channel.) the video source is up scaled to 4K the resulting pictures are disappointing ranging from unwatchable to reasonably OK to watch.
HD channels were mostly not to bad.
All TV sets gave excellent results with 4K video playing.
OLEDS look the best but not with SD content being viewed.
I left disillusioned and decided to buy the Aldi 75" to see how it compared I can return it within 60 days for a refund anyway.
The results so far with the Aldi 75"
GOOD
Prime channel SD up scaling is better than most other sets I have viewed HD up scaling gives a very good result good contrast and vivid picture
SD Netflix is nice to watch, 4K input is excellent.
Sound is good.
BAD
Back-lit panel sometimes shows faint outline through picture.
Jerky picture can occur when panning occurs in a video scene this is the reason I will return the TV
for a refund.
These issues were also evident in some well known brands I viewed over the weekend.
Some expensive TV's became jerky with the rolling credits at the end of a program
Tomorrow I will be viewing a lot more brands I will take a video I shot with extensive slow panning
in HD and 4K as a test video.
is it a smart tv?
It cost me $889 on special
Already purchased Australia’s cheapest 75” 4K smart tv “Polaroid “ from big W

They'll have one per store
Aldi is good for food and drink and cheap leftover electronics, but TVs need to be bought with some care. Research on the brand is most important. Always go to a store with TVs demoed on display (turned on)

Yes!
No HDR. No way. Not worth it. And hisense not that good either. Gotta go with either LG, Samsung or Sony. I personally have LG 65" oled 4K HDR and it's brilliant.
Be lucky to get 200 for it now
My Panasonic viera plasma from 2010 is still going strong. Cost me $1500 at the time..
Wayne Brewer im the same when it comes to gaming gear but oled can wait for me until i see what comes to CES this year
Yeah was $4995 when I got it about a year ago. Probably $3500 now. But tech is like cars value drops quickly. And yeah money no issue for me when it comes to my tv's or gaming gear.
If you can afford that kinda money great
