Overwatch Players Can Qualify for the Spring Series Pro League this Weekend

Competitive and casual Overwatch teams alike will have a chance to test their skills this weekend in a series of qualifiers being run by Oceania eSports organisation Gamestah.

The qualifiers are part of Gamestah’s Overwatch Spring series for the Oceania region, with matches being run on both Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18.

All teams involved will play in a Swiss format tournament, with separate rankings for each day..The top four teams from each day will offered a spot in the upcoming Pro League series, which will run as a round robin format over the next six weeks.

Teams can sign up for both days, and if they’re not successful on the Saturday, they’ll still have a chance at winning a spot on the Sunday. The initial qualifying rounds will be run using Challonge, with separate brackets set up for Saturday and Sunday.

The games of each day will be broadcast on Gamestah’s Twitch channel.

Teams which aren’t successful in the qualifiers will still be able to run in Gamestah’s open league, which will also run during the Spring season.
