It has been announced that Sydney will host Australia's largest esports event ever in May. The Intel Extreme Masters will kick off its 12th season with IEM Sydney taking place on May 6th and 7th at Qudos Bank Arena with the potential to house 18,000 Australian gaming fans. The event will see the best esports teams in the world competing for a prize pool of $260,000. You'll be able to watch the best CS:GO teams including the Brazilian SK Gaming and Aussie Renegades. Four other international teams will attend alongside local competitors. Tickets will go on sale on Monday March 13th at 10am with Telstra customers able to buy tickets this Thursday at 9am.
