E3 took place over the last week and it’s fair to say that we saw more epic trailers than ever before.
Now that it’s concluded, YouTube has released video views for titles (based on trailers, gameplay, media uploads) as well as just pure trailer views (on their official channels).
Despite having arguable the worst press conference, EA has absolutely dominated media coverage with four titles in the top 10. This could be due to the fact that they went first which ensured that their coverage lasted all week long and also due to the fact that they had a number of high-profile influencers at their event.
When you look at individual trailers on their official channel, the numbers tell a different story. Battlefront 2 still takes out the top but we see a number of Ubisoft trailers make the to 10. I guess what’s most surprising is the fact that Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft all only have one trailer in the top 10. This means that third parties have absolutely dominated.
What’s most interesting that Bethesda doesn’t have a single place in the only top 10. This makes them the only company to hold a press conference without making a significant dent.
