Now that the heavy hitters of March have come and completely swamped us with content to chew through, it’s kind of relieving to see that April is a tad quieter overall. That’s not to say there aren’t some huge titles ahead, especially at the front of the month with games like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and the remaster of Chrono Cross, but for most of April we’re largely looking at ports of existing games to new platforms. That combined with many of us still plugging away at Elden Ring, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Ghostwire: Tokyo and Kirby and the Forgotten Land means we can pretty safely dub April 2022 the official Backlog Month™. At least until Nintendo Switch Sports comes out.
