Over an hour of announcements happened at the June 2026 Nintendo Direct and here were the highlights.
The hotly anticpated The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time remake was announced with a brief trailer revealing a 2026 release date. It’s described as being “reborn” on the Nintendo Switch 2, although we didn’t get a look at what gameplay will look like.
A new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4 was revealed. It will be available at launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.
All three games are coming in a big way to Nintendo Switch 2, available individually or as part of a collection come October 8th this year.
The three games are coming to Nintendo’s latest console with a variety of updates and added content. All three will run at 60 FPS running in 4K docked, or 1080p in handheld. Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (and upgrade pack) are available digitally later today, with the others out in the near future.
Xenoblade Genesis, a new game in the famed franchise was announced. It’s set a release window of next year, with a lengthy story trailer revealing the game hot off the heels of the announcement that Xenoblade 1, 2 and 3 are coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
In addition to a new trailer, giving be Bloodeborne vibes IMO, a Closed Network Test was announced for later this year.
It’s the first Final Fantasy game in HD 2D, coming to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 22nd, alongside Nintendo Switch Sports Resort.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort was announced, a spiritual successor to Wii Sports Resort, destined for the Nintendo Switch 2. It includes skateboarding that makes use of the mouse functionality of the new Joy-Cons. Boxing, tabel tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball, golf, jump rope, archery, tennis, power cruising, prop playing and thumb wrestling (yep you read that right) are all also included. It’s coming out October 22nd.
Kicking off the Nintendo Direct was Rhythm Heaven Goove, out in just a couple of week on July 2nd. The latest Rhythm Heaven game comes to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and includes over 80 rhythm games.
Is launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 September 25th. The trailer did suggest a bit of a visual downgrade, but hey we’ll take it.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is an expanded version of Dragon’s Dogma 2, coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 October 9th.
The original Stellar Blade was announced for Nintendo Switch 2, releasing in 2026.
The game continues to look epic, with its very distinct visual style on full force. The game includes GameShare and is coming exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2 September 3rd with pre-orders kicking off today.
Announced earlier in Summer Game Fest, we got another look at the remake of Ray-Man Legends on the Switch 2 with up to four player co-op and support for GameShare.
The House House developed game was confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch 2.

Added content is coming to Pokopia with a free update dropping today and three paid expansions on the horizon available through an Expansion Pass.
The turn-based strategy RPG was shown off with an extended trailer showing plenty of gameplay and glimpse of the story. It’s out on the 17th September. A special edition was announced the Dagdan Collection, dropping at launch.
The “first part” of Ninjala 2, The Uncharted Planet, is coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch 2. Plenty of gameplay was shown off in a new trailer.
The DK Challenge can be accessed in Nintendo Switch Online with limited time challenges across a range of Donkey Kong games to unlock rewards.
It’s celebrating the 40th anniversary of Mario, with costumes for DK and Pauline themed around Mario and Luigi. It’s available later today with more to come.
The game is a “survivors royale” that looks like Vampire Survivors but pitching you head-to0. You outscore your opponents to win.
The upcoming action RPG is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later this Spring.
The highly acclaimed Lies of P: Complete Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, August 6.
The complete edition of Devil May Cry 5 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, June 23rd.
Hello Kitty Party Land is party game full of mini games with solo play and local or online multiplayer, coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on Oct 29, 2026.
It’s featured a lot through Summer Game Fest. It’s a co-operative, standalone adventure set in the Runescape universe. It’s coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 September 15th.
Star Fox is launching right around the corner on June 25th. A free demo that features the game’s opening stages is available later today.
Another quirky new Pikuniku game is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 next year.
