PLEASE NOTE: Your Lenovo Legion Go S will be wiped (you can’t run both Windows/Steam OS at the same time) and so will the USB Drive that you use.

  2. Download and install Rufus onto your PC
  3. Plug USB drive into PC (your USB stick will be formatted)
  4. Launch Rufus and select USB Key under Device
  5. Select your SteamOS IMG file under boot selection

  7. Unplug USB drive after it reaches 100%
  8. Power down Legion Go S completely
  9. Hold volume + button and press power button
  10. Tap Boot Menu (using touch screen)
  11. Select your USB Drive
  12. You’ll now load into the SteamOS menu and hit Wipe Device and Install SteamOS
  13. Click proceed
  14. Your device will now install SteamOS and it’ll reset showing the Lenovo Legion logo and then SteamOS and you are now free to setup SteamOS

It’s as simple as that. There really isn’t a heap of ways to go wrong throughout the process. Just keep it plugged in for charge and let it do its thing and enjoy the flexibility that the Lenovo Legion Go S brings.
