343 Industries Director provides updates on Halo 5 and ODST Remaster

Taking to Twitter today, 343 Industries’ development director of the Halo Franchise, Frank O’Connor, has provided some updates on both Halo 5: Guardians and the Halo 3: ODST remaster.

First off, O’Connor mused that the next episode of Hunt The Truth will go to a dark place, and that Halo 5 may be one of the darkest Halo’s yet. Cheekily, he also mentioned you can “always turn up the contrast and brightness”.

He also had something to say about the upcoming remaster of Halo 3: ODST, which will be offered to players of Master Chief Collection (who played between 11th November 2014 and 19th December 2014) as compensation for the game’s less than standard launch issues.

O’Connor claims that the improvements that Bungie made to the Halo 3 engine for ODST will become more apparent when the game runs in 1080p, 60fps, so there’s something to look forward to for loyal Halo fans.
While the remaster of Halo 3: ODST doesn’t have a set launch date, Microsoft Studios recently announced that Halo 5: Guardians will be releasing world-wide on October 27th, 2015.
