EA Officially Reveals Star Wars: Battlefront

During the Star Wars Celebration event in the Unites States, Electronic Arts has revealed footage of DICE’s re-imagining of Star Wars: Battlefront. Lucasfilm and EA collaborated to stream the event worldwide, providing players the first footage of the game, along with insight into the development of the game with the developers of the game.

Following the trailer reveal viewers were being treated with an hour long panel with developers from DICE discussing pre-production and development of the game.

Along with the panel some information on the game has been given as well:

  • There will be no campaign mode.
  • Both first and third-person gameplay will both be available.
  • Iconic heroes and villains from the films will be present in the game.
  • Modes will support 8 tot 4o players.
  • Free downloadable content connected to Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available before the film’s release in December.

Star Wars: Battlefront is set to be released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this November. EA Access subscribers on Xbox One will be able to experience Star Wars: Battlefront a week before release.
