While only showing a pre-rendered trailer with no gameplay, Microsoft today confirmed that they will be publishing a brand new title called Recore, exclusively for Xbox One. The game is being designed by Keiji Inafune, the man responsible for creating Onimusha, Lost Planet, Dead Rising and Mega Man.
Co-developed with Armature Studios, a relatively new studio comprised of staff who previously worked on Metroid Prime, Recore follows a female protagonist who seemingly has the power to manipulate electronics with the help of a mysterious blue ball.
The blue ball can be put into varying structures to assist the main character overcome obstacles. No word has been given as to whether the game plays similarly to Metroid Prime.
Details were scarce barring the trailer, but Microsoft have confirmed the game will be released sometime in Spring 2016 – which corresponds to a date between March and May for Australia.
