Nintendo Australia have confirmed the launch details for their first app made exclusively for smart devices. MiiTomo will launch in Australia and New Zealand in March for iOS, Android and tablets. Starting 17th of February 2016, people in Australia will be able to pre-register for MiiTomo by creating a Nintendo account and using their Nintendo Network ID, social media accounts or email address. Those who pre-register will be the first to be notified about the availability prior to launch.
Miitomi is being touted as a social experience that uses Nintendo’s popular Mii character to engage with friends in a light hearted and playful setting. Using Mii characters, users will be able to interact with their friends in fun and unique ways.
In addition to this, Nintendo have also announced that their new My Nintendo rewards program will launch alongside MiiTomo in March 2016. A special MiiTomo bonus will be offered to Australians that create a Nintendo account between the 17th of February and launch of MiiTomo in March.
