It has been announced that the first wave of HoloLens kits have started shipping to developers. The $3,000 kit includes the device, a carrying case, a cloth to clean the Hololens with, a charger, Micro-USB 2.0 cable and a clicker which enables the user to interact during extended, interactive scenarios.
The current device houses 2GB of ram, 802.11aca, x86 processor and boasts a 60Hz refresh rate. It already contains a set of APIs which enables developers to create holographic experiences in the real world.
The Hololens was announced by Microsoft last year. The consumer version does not yet have a release date.
