Gearbox Software have revealed that over 2 million people have played the Battleborn Open Beta. They’ve gone on to say that the community challenges were met.
For comparison, The Division is the fastest selling new IP of all time and had 6.4 million people playing its Beta. Destiny is the second fastest selling new IP of all time and had 4.6 million people playing the beta. Taking these numbers into consideration, it’s definitely impressive that Battleborn was over to pull in over 2 million people.
Gearbox also announced that they’ll be giving every player who purchases a retail copy of Battleborn a SHiFT code unlocking three golden character skins. Players who preorder will receive eight exclusive skins.
