Nintendo have revealed that Super Mario Maker has sold 3.5 million units worldwide. This is an amazing stat considering there are only around 13 million WiiUs owned worldwide. The game has obviously been a massive hit as Nintendo also revealed that over 7.2 million levels and been created. Further to this, these user-generated levels have been played over 600 million times.
We can say with great confidence that this is one of the main reasons that Super Mario just joined Minecraft. It’s clear that Mario and building go well together.
If you played every level in #SuperMarioMaker for 1 minute each, it would take you nearly 14 years to play them all! pic.twitter.com/vEzBMTLGg8
