Speaking to Eurogamer, CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski has suggested that it’s likely that there won’t be another Witcher game. Whilst it’s obvious that we weren’t expecting there to be another game in the series for quite some time, Iwinski has suggested that it’s a real possibility that there won’t be another game in the series.
“We honestly don’t know. We don’t have anything planned as of now to be honest on the next Witcher. As we said before, never say never [but] right now it’s really Blood and Wine. This is the end. Blood and Wine is [the] closing and there won’t be any Witcher any time soon – if there ever will be one. And I would really like to see how people feel about it, if they will enjoy it.” Iwinski said.
It would be a massive shock considering The Witcher 3 has sold 10 million copies worldwide. The last expansion Blood and Wine will release on May 31st.
