Family Guy Stole NES Game Footage From YouTube, Then Copyright Claimed The Original Video

In the latest episode of Family Guy titled “Run, Chris, Run”, the episode used footage of a NES game called Double Dribble. Oddly, the episode used footage directly from a YouTube video. Soon after the episode aired, the original YouTube video by YouTUber Sw1tched was taken down by a copyright claim by Fox.

The episode used the footage as a part of a joke, where Peter plays the game with Cleveland and continually exploits a known glitch.

S1itched has acknowledged that the video was taken down but has now been reinstated. It seems like Fox didn’t ask for permission to use the footage which is incredibly odd. You can see the footage as used in Family Guy as well as the original below.
