Microsoft has just revealed on the Gears of War 4 Launch Stream that a Gears of War movie is officially being developed by Universal Studios. It has been long rumoured that a Gears movie might eventually be on the way, but it’s crazy to think that we might see Gears on the big screen before a Halo movie.
Universal was previously responsible for the Doom movie and also Bioshock which has ceased development.
We’d expect this to be a long while off, but it’s cool to see another big gaming franchise potentially make the cross to the big screen.
