Nintendo announced that online play for the Nintendo Switch would be free at launch as a free trial. Unfortunately, in Spring 2017, it will move to a paid online system. It is not yet clear how much this will cost or if it will incorporate free games such as the PlayStation Plus or Xbox Games with Gold system.
