UPDATE: Information provided to Press Start suggests that the Australia release of Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition is expect to be mid-May. It is not yet confirmed that it will release on the eShop simultaneously worldwide on May 11th.
The ever-popular Minecraft, already known to be making its way to the Nintendo Switch, now have has a release date. You’ll be able both mine and craft on your brand-new, shiny Switch come May 11th.
It looks like the Switch version won’t be any different to the version Wii U players are familiar with; the Switch version will also include the Nintendo platform exclusive Super Mario themed content.
Multiplayer capabilities on the Switch version are also extended, with up to four players able to play on the one console, and up to 8 crafters able to connect online.
