This is sad news.
Before the internet, strategy guides (primarily by Prima Games) were the go to product when buying a new game for completionists, but it has been announced today that they will be closing their offices across America.
The closure is set to happen by the end of March next year across their New York, Indianapolis and California offices (with California set to close as soon as this month). Currently the last announced guide is Anthem which will release in February.
It’s a sad time for those game guide writers who no doubt loved bringing us every little bit of information about games at launch.
